Demeter presents private equity at e5t University

Sophie Paturle Guesnerot and Eric Vincent spoke yesterday 29 August at e5t University in La Rochelle to present the role played by private equity in financing ecological and environmental transition.

Founded by Myriam Maestroni, e5t Foundation is now one of the leading think tanks specializing in the issues of climate change and ecological transition.

This 6th edition, which brought together nearly 2,000 participants, was particularly marked by the presence of three former ministers of ecology and environment, Brice Lalonde, Corinne Lepage and Emmanuelle Cosse (picture) whose message was of confidence given the numerous initiatives that emerge all over France to accelerate the transition to an environmentally friendly economy, in spite of political uncertainties.

First closing of Paris Green Fund!

5 months after our selection by Paris City, Demeter achieves the first closing of Paris Green Fund above €100m. We are celebrating this event with Anne Hidalgo and many prominent guests at the Paris City Hall today.

Paris Green Fund invests in fast growing European SMEs developping solutions for the ecological transition of large cities.

Transition Monaco Forum: Lionel Cormier participates in “Defining the 21st Century Metropolis” panel.

Last June 27th, on the occasion of the first Transition Monaco Forum held in Monaco, Lionel Cormier participated in the following panel: Defining the 21st Century Metropolis.

After Anne Hidalgo, Mayor of Paris, the day before, this session gave him the opportunity to show how much Paris Fonds Vert, a € 200m growth fund dedicated to large cities sustainability sponsored by the city of Paris, was a relevant initiative for the ecological transition of metropolises.

New sucess for the Club Entrepreneurs Demeter last 26th of June !

A new formula for this new edition: after Stéphane Villecroze’s traditional opening remarks, Sophie Paturle and Lionel Cormier presented the new partnerships established with Cycle Capital and eCapital, in the presence of their respective directors, Andrée-Lise Méthot and Willi Mannheims .

On stage followed several round tables, led by Patricia Laurent of GreenUnivers, on the theme “More than Money! “And more specifically on the topics of smartbuilding, mobility and environment, with a focus on the new fund being raised: Agrinnovation.

Alain Dinin, president of Nexity, interviewed by Olivier Dupont, presented the agility required for a large group to transform itself in a very competitive and changing market context.

All the guests then came together, in a convivial way, around a cocktail party, which allowed to prolong the conversations.

Demeter at Think Smartgrids

Demeter was present at the third edition of Think Smartgrids : On the scheduledmeetings with SMEs, start-ups and investment funds of the smart grids ecosystem, in partnership with France Invest, GreenUnivers and Maddyness, on May 17 at Colombus Consulting.

Olivier Bordelanne and Eric Vincent met start-ups and SMEs in the areas of energy storage, optimization of energy consumption, data optimization for the management of real estate parks,  IoT for the improvement of industrial performances of networks and infrastructures, or the digitalisation of hot water electric balloons, etc.

Sophie Paturle Guesnerot, President of the Climate Commission of France Invest, participated in the round table entitled “Are data services mature? with :

  • Olivier Grabette, Chairman of Think Smartgrids and member of the Executive Board of RTE;
  • Pascale Guillo-Lohan, Smart Grids Director of GRTgaz;
  • and Benjamin de Buttet, co-founder of DCbrain,

The round table was led by Valérie-Anne Lencznar, General Delegate of the association.

Think Smartgrids, which brings together the actors of the smart grid ecosystem in France organized this day in order to allow SMEs and start-ups of the smart grid and more generally of the energy sector to develop by  presenting them specialized investment funds interested in this sector.

Demeter participates from 14th to 16th May 2018 at the Cleantech Forum Europe – Antwerp

From 14 to 16 May 2018, Demeter participates in the Cleantech Forum Europe organized by the Cleantech Group. This event, held this year in Antwerp (Belgium), brings together more than 300 participants from 23 countries. 60 start-ups / innovative SMEs from the cleantech sector will present their solutions and more than 90 speakers will participate in the various conferences around the latest trends in technology but also in terms of investments in the energy and environmental sectors , the AgTech, the smart-city or transports that are at the heart of themes of interest to Demeter teams.

Lionel Cormier intervenes on May 16th to present the Paris Fonds Vert fund during the 9h panel on new funds and new alliances.

Stéphane Villecroze and Lionel Cormier participated in the Cleantech Innovation Forum organized by Cycle Capital Management and Ecofuel on May 8, 2018 in Montreal. This event brought together investors and companies financed by Cycle Capital and accompanied by the Ecofuel accelerator and the Quebec ecosystem of investment in ecological transition. On the agenda: Interventions, round tables, networking and presentation of the partnership between Cycle Capital Management and Demeter and its interest for investors and entrepreneurs of the two management companies.
